RRM Phoenix is commonly called the Phoenix Residential Reentry Management. The facility is one out of twenty-five facilities throughout the United States. The Phoenix Residential Reentry Management is operated and managed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. 

The Phoenix Residential Reentry Management serves the local corrections, United States Marshals Service, state corrections, and the federal courts. 

The Phoenix Residential Reentry Management is home to inmates that were transferred from federal prisons. This is the last stop before they get released back into society. The facility is like a halfway house.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

Lastly, inmates can receive letters from their loved ones. The Phoenix Residential Reentry Management has many different locations. You will want to verify what location the inmate is currently residing in to ensure your mail goes to the correct address.

Inmates can also receive books, magazines, and newspapers in the mail too. These items will need to be sent directly to the prison from the publisher. All incoming books are required to be paperback. Hardcover books will be rejected.

Each inmate can be placed in a few housing locations. You will have to get in contact with the RRM Supervisor of the inmate to get information on where you can send money.

Visitation

Inmates at the Phoenix Residential Reentry Management can receive visitors. Visitors will need to be on the approved visitors list. All other visitors will be denied entry. Visitors will need to fill out their visitor form. All visitors over the age of 16 are required to fill out this form. The form can be located on the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. 

Once you submit the form the entire process takes about a month. Visitors who are felons will be automatically denied. If you are approved, you will be able to visit during visiting hours. Everyone over the age of 16 will be required to show either their driver’s license or their state identification card. If you have neither, you will not be permitted to the visitation area. 

Children under the age of 16 are permitted to visit inmates, if they are accompanied by their legal guardians. There will be no visitation alone for them.

Security Level at Residential Reentry Management

With the RRM Phoenix a reentry and treatment facility, it has no security level. The only asked of the individuals here is their compliance with the rules.

What Services do Residential Reentry Management Offer?

The RRM Phoenix is the last stop for offenders before they get fully released into society.

The facility partners with state and local government to provide many services for the offenders.

  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Life-skills training
  • Financial management assistance
  • Employment counseling
  • Job placement

All these services offered are to prepare individuals for life outside of bars.

Inmate Transition Branch

The Inmate Transition Branch provides more help for pre-released employment assistance. They hold mock job jails to allow individuals to brush up and practice their interview skills, along with also allowing the community recruiters to know what the inmates are bringing into the workforce.

Qualified offender will be able to apply to companies that have job opens. The Inmate Transition Branch will also help with the resume, certificates of completion, earning diploma, and other necessary documents needed for a successful job search and interview process.

Inmate Life

The RRM Phoenix is also considered a halfway house. This is for offenders nearing the final few months of their sentence.

All offenders must comply to all rules of the house. They are also required to take random drug and alcohol testing.

The facility is very much like jail in its structured environment. Inmates are also supervised. They have many programs to help inmates transition easier into society.

The food here is a lot better too.

Inmates can leave the facility to work, go shopping, and for religious services. Some inmates are even granted house arrest, depending on how they behave in the facility.
