The Fresno County Jail is in Fresno, California. The Fresno County Jail is managed and operated by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. The county jail consists of the following facilities:
• South Annex
• Main Jail

The South Annex was built back in 1947. The Main Jail was built back in 1989. The North Annex was built back in 1993. The three facilities can hold over 2,400 inmates. The Fresno County Jail employed over 350 prison staff members.

Inmates in the Fresno County Jail can receive visitors. Keep in mind that all visitors under the age of 18 will are permitted to visit, but they will need to be accompanied by their legal guardian. All visitors will be required to present either their driver’s license, state identification card, or their United States Passport, before being permitted to visit.

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
