Inmates shall not be permitted to receive routine mail in boxes, padded envelopes, plastic bags, multi-layer packaging, envelopes that include metal parts, any package containing bubble wrap or packing peanuts, or card stock type envelopes (i.e. U.S. Mail Priority or U.S. Mail Express cardboard type).

Sending Money

Visitation

Before one can visit an inmate in the Emanuel Detention Center, they will need to fill out the visitors application that can be found here. The prison itself will NOT notify you of your denial or approval the inmate will. Keep in contact with them while you wait.

Once the visitor application is approved, you will be able to visit on days from schedule. You can arrive at the facility any time after visit day starts.
