Unlike other jail rosters, the Peoria County Jail roster is a little bit different. It’s essentially an excel sheet that you can sort by either the inmates last name or by their date confined. You cannot search directly for an inmate or other identifying personal information.

When doing a successful inmate search, you will be able to find their personal identifying information alongside what agency arrested them, where they were arrested, what charges they have (present and past) and their Illinois mugshot.

The only thing inmates can truly receive from family and friends are letters. However, inmates can also receive books and newspapers, but they must come directly from a publisher. They cannot come from a personal address. The books will also need to be paperback books. No hardback books are accepted.

The Peoria County Jail provides three ways that family and friends can send money to an inmate. Using any of the three options below will instantly put money into an inmate’s account.

Kiosk

There are kiosks in the lobby of the jail. They can be mistaken for an ATM machine, but this machine does not give out money, it takes it instead and puts it directly into the inmate’s commissary account. The kiosk accepts $5 bills or higher along with debit and credit cards that are either MasterCard or Visa.

For any deposit up to $300, there will be a $4 service fee. You can use this service 24 hours a day.

By Phone

Visitation

Inmates can receive visitors. The visitation schedule goes by the inmates last name.

If you can’t visit during those times above, the Peoria County Jail also offers visitation on these two days below. These are for all inmates.

Before you can visit, you will need to make sure you brought your government ID. You will have to pass a metal detector too.

Visitors must adhere to the jails dress code. You cannot wear the following:

Visitors will not be able to bring anything into the visitation area. You will need to store all your personal belongings in your automobile before entering the facility.

If you fail to adhere to the rules, you will be denied visitation rights, right on the spot.

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
