Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates in the Shelby County Jail can receive written letters from their family and friends back home. These letters will be inspected by the staff at the jail before being released to the inmate it is addressed to. 

The staff at the jail has the right to dispose of or return any letter or item that is not allowed in the prison. Sending Money

Visitation

Inmates can receive visitors while they are serving time in the Shelby County Jail. If you are wanting to visit an inmate, you will need to talk to the inmate to know when their visiting hours are. You will need to follow a strict dress code when visiting the jail. You should not wear the following:
