The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
Inmates are permitted 2 30-minute visitation appointments a week while in the Ascension Parish Jail.
Ascension Parish Jail offers healthcare for their inmates. Their healthcare includes dental, medical, mental health, and the access to get nutritional supplements and pharmaceutical drugs.
When inmates come to the Ascension Parish Jail, the staff members conduct an intake screening, which lets them develop a treatment plan.
