St. James Youth Center has their jail roster available for the public to do an inmate search. It is available on the St. James Youth Center official website.

Unlike other jail rosters, the St. James Youth Center roster is a little bit different. It’s essentially an excel sheet that you can sort by either the inmates last name or by their date confined. You cannot search directly for an inmate or other identifying personal information.

When doing a successful inmate search, you will be able to find their personal identifying information alongside what agency arrested them, where they were arrested, what charges they have (present and past) and their Louisiana mugshot.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

The only thing inmates can truly receive from family and friends are letters. However, inmates can also receive books and newspapers, but they must come directly from a publisher. They cannot come from a personal address. The books will also need to be paperback books. No hardback books are accepted.
