RRM Baltimore is commonly referred to as the Baltimore Residential Reentry Office. The Baltimore Residential Reentry Office contracts with many community-based programs to help rehabilitate inmates before they transition into the community. The Baltimore Residential Reentry Office is operated and managed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The facility also serves the United States Marshals Service, federal courts, local corrections, and state corrections.
The mission of the Baltimore Residential Reentry Office is to help inmates through community-based services with their transition back into society.
The easiest and fastest way to locate someone currently in the RRM Baltimore care is to give them a call at 301-317-3142.
While inmates are serving their time at the RRM Baltimore, they can also receive written letters from their family and friends. The facility also encourages this communication as it is a vital tool in their rehab process.
These letters are checked for contraband before giving to the inmate. The letters cannot contain anything offensive either.
Inmates can also receive newspapers, books, and magazines. These following items will need to be sent directly to the facility from the publisher. Sites like Amazon can do this. Keep in mind that all incoming books should be softcover. Hardcover books are not permitted.
The Baltimore RRM has their inmates in a few different facilities. The mailing addresses are:
4601 E. Monument Street

11651 Nebel Street
Rockville, MD 20852

Inmates housed in the Baltimore RRM will be housed in dormitory-style housing. Inmates will have to share their space with their fellow inmates.
Inmates in the Baltimore RRM are considered low-level risk. This meaning that the facility does not always have a fence surrounding the perimeter. The staff-to-inmate ratio inside the Baltimore Residential Reentry Office is extremely low.
With the facility being a low-level security level, this means that the atmosphere at the Baltimore Residential Camp does not feel like a prison. It feels homier than an ordinary federal prison.
While inmates are in the Baltimore Residential Reentry Office, they will be required to enroll in a work program. Many of the work sites are not inside the facility. They are in the local community. Inmate’s will learn necessary job skills along with other skills that will help them when they are on the outside. The Baltimore Residential Reentry Office works with many communities’ programs that allow inmates to gain skills as they are nearing their release date.
The Baltimore Residential Reentry Office encourages all inmates to participate in all of the programs they have to offer to help them on their rehabilitation path. Inmates can partake in drug education, release preparation, education programs, and so much more.
