Writing materials can be purchased from the commissary. Inmates cannot communicate with other inmates in any other Beaverhead County facilities.

Any family and friends that want to write to write to the inmate must be put on the Request/Refusal Form for the staff to approve.

All incoming mail is subjected to being inspected by a jail staff. Outgoing mail will be checked to make sure the communication is not presenting any danger, escape plans, or extortion.

You can send money to help fund inmates a few different ways.

In-Person

You can put money in your inmate’s accounts in person. You can deposit cash into the kiosks available in the video visitation center and the main jail lobby in Beaverhead County Jail & Sheriff. The video visitation center is open from 8:30am to 8:30 pm. The main jail lobby is open from 7am to 11pm.

Online

You can fund your inmates account in Beaverhead County Jail & Sheriff online. You will have to create a TouchPay account. There is a fee that incurred with using this service.

Visitation

Visitation must be scheduled through the Beaverhead County Jail & Sheriff’s website. Visitation can be scheduled no more than 7 days ahead of time. Visits that are canceled with less than 24 hours to the appointment will still count as a visit.

Both inmates and visitors are required to adhere to all visitation rules. If rules are broken, that could lead to termination of the visit or loss of visitation privileges.

How Often Can I Visit?

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
