The Hamilton County Justice Center is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The county jail is managed by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and the Commander in Chief for the county jail. However, other deputies and sheriffs help in the county jail too.
Hamilton County Justice Center main mission to ensure there is a safe and secure environment for both their inmates and their staff members.
The Hamilton County Justice Center has their roster available to the public to search. You can search the jail database by the inmates first and last name, booking number, or by doing an AKA search.
You can also search for inmates currently sitting in Hamilton County Justice Center or released inmates.
The inmate jail inquiry consists of their personal identifying information, mugshot, what agency arrested them, and what charges they are or have been charged with.
The Hamilton County Justice Center has a contract with Smart Jail Mail. Smart Jail Mail uses kiosks that are in the housing units for inmates to use. This method is essentially emailing their loved ones. This system was put into place to allow the Hamilton County Justice Center to ensure the safety of inmates, staff, and their families.
Inmates are no longer allowed to use pen and paper to write out their letters. All letters will now have to go through Smart Jail Mail.
However, if you do not have access to a computer and the only way you can communicate with an inmate is through the postal mail, you can send them mail at the following address:
INMATE NAME-ID NUMBER
1000 Sycamore Street, Cincinnati, OH, 45202
Keep in mind, that this letter will go through the kiosk for them to view. They will not actually get your letter with your handwriting. Make sure you put your return address on the envelope along with the inmate’s name and their ID number to ensure it will get sent to the correct inmate.
The Hamilton County Justice Center offers family and friends four different ways they can fund their inmates accounts.
You can deposit funds online at Access Corrections. This service does incur a fee to use, but it instantly deposits funds into inmate’s account 24/7.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can also deposit money by calling 866-394-0490 between Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. This service also incurs a fee to use.
