Inmates can receive books, magazines, and newspapers. These books, magazines, and newspapers are required to be sent directly to the jail from the bookstore or the publisher. All books will need to be new. All books will need to be paperback. No used or hardcover books are permitted.
Inmates in the Warren County Jail will need to have funds to purchase the items they will need from the commissary.
You can drop off cashier checks, cash, and money order to the front desk in the Warren County Jail. They will be able to deposit the funds into the inmate’s account from there.
You will need to make sure you have the inmate’s full name and their inmate number, so the jail staff can put the funds into the proper account.
You will be required to wait a few days before the funds will be deposited.
The Warren County Jail permits visitors to visit inmates. The visitation at the Warren County Jail is video visitation already. The video visitation is through Homewav. If you have trouble with the software, you will need call Homewav at 844-394-6639.
Before you can visit, you will need to go to the Homewav official website to go through the process of creating an account. To create a new account, you will need to click on ‘new visitor’.
Keep in mind that you will need to be on the inmate’s visitation list, before you will be permitted to visit the inmate. Every inmate in good standing, will be permitted 1 free video visit every week. The video visit will last a maximum of 20 minutes.
Inmates who are on disciplinary lockdown will only be permitted to get visitors from their immediate family only. Attorneys and clergy persons will be permitted to visit using the same Homewav system. However, these persons will be allowed to use a private setting when using the Homewav system.

Last names beginning with A-L: Saturday 9am – 2pm
Last names beginning with M-Z: Sunday 9am – 2pm
Inmates on administrative segregation or lockdown: Saturday 8:30am – 10am & 12pm – 1pm

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
