Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates in the Snohomish County Jail can receive written letters from their family and friends. These letters will be checked by jail staff upon arrival for safety issues. After the staff examines all of the mail, they will pass them out to the correct inmates.

When sending items to the prison along with your letters, there are a lot of things you should refrain from sending. Such as the following:

The books, magazines, and newspapers will need to be delivered directly to the prison from the bookstore or publisher. All incoming books will be required to be paperback. Visitation

Inmates in the Snohomish County Jail can receive visitors. Keep in mind that all visitors under the age of 18 will are permitted to visit, but they will need to be accompanied by their legal guardian. All visitors will be required to present either their driver’s license, state identification card, or their United States Passport, before being permitted to visit.

Remember, all your personal belongings will be required to stay in your car. No personal belongings will be permitted to be in the visitation area.

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
