Inmates will need money while they are in the Whatcom County Jail. You can deposit money into an inmate's account in a few different ways.

Visitation

Inmates in the Whatcom County Jail can receive visitors. Keep in mind that all visitors under the age of 18 will are permitted to visit, but they will need to be accompanied by their legal guardian. All visitors will be required to present either their driver’s license, state identification card, or their United States Passport, before being permitted to visit. 

Remember, all of your personal belongings will be required to stay in your car. No personal belongings will be permitted to be in the visitation area. 

Inmates in the Whatcom County Jail can receive one visit per week. The visit can be up to one hour long. 

The visiting hours go by the housing units. They are the following: 

1st & 3rd Floor (all women)    
Saturday: 8-11 a.m.
Sunday: 8-11 a.m.

2nd Floor Units 2A, 2B, & 2C

Sunday: 1-4 p.m.

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
