You can send money to prisoners in Woodinville Community Facility three different ways.

Lock Box

This is a free way to send money. When sending money, it can take less time than mailing the money to the prison for it to post. However, it is longer than the EFT option.

EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)

The electronic funds transfer is the only method that will incur a fee. The fee will be dependent on what service you use and how much you are sending at once. A well-known service many people use is JPay.

Mail to Jail

You can mail a personal check, cashier’s check, or a money order directly to the jail. This is completely free. However, all funds will be held for 30 days. You will also need to write your name and address on it along with the prisoner’s name and identification number (CDCR).

Phone calls

The Washington Department of Corrections has a contract in place with Global Tel Link commonly known as GTL.

GTL offers two different plans to fit you and the prisoners needs. The first plane is a monthly plan, just like you pay for any of your current utilities. The second plan offered is a prepaid plan, where you put a certain amount of money in and once the money is gone, it is gone.

Inmates can make calls home. You are not allowed to call an inmate while they are in prison. Phone calls are typically only allowed to be 15-20 minutes to make sure all inmates have a chance to use the phone. Phone calls are monitored.

For visitation, you must first be on the inmates approved visitors list. In order to get on the approved visitors list, you must fill out the form and send it back. This process can take a few weeks as they will be doing a thorough background check.

The Woodinville Community Facility will NOT give you a call back with their decision. You will need to keep in contact with the inmate.

Visitation is held on days from schedule.

Visiting Hours

Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Sunday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.

How Often Can I Visit?

You can visit as often as there are appointments.

Keep in mind that visiting can be canceled without notice. If the prison goes into a lockdown, no visitation will be granted. If the inmate is not in good standing, visitation will not be granted.
