Inmates in the Dallas County Jail will need money, so they can purchase items in the commissary and phone home. Inmates will be able to access their funds using the barcode on their armbands.
When making a deposit into an inmate’s account, you will need their name and their booking number. You can deposit money in person by using the kiosk in the jail. You can go to CashPayToday.com. There is a fee of $5.
You can deposit money at inmatedeposits.com. There is a fee of $2.95. Or you can call 1-866-345-1884 and deposit money that way. There is a fee of $3.95.
When arriving to the Dallas County Jail, you will receive a visitor slip. You will fill out the slip. It will contain the inmate’s booking number and their tank location.
You will then have to go through the metal detector before you will be taken back to the visitation area. You will want to leave all of your personal belongings in the car, as you will not be permitted to bring anything in the jail.
Keep in mind the only thing you will need to visit an inmate will be a photo identification card on you. The jail accepts either your driver’s license, state identification card, or your U.S. Passport.

Tuesday and Friday: Inmates with the last names M-Z (No children under age of 17 allowed)
Saturday and Sunday: Open visitation – all children may visit.

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
