The inmates in Dallas Residential Reentry Management are housed in dormitories. Within these dormitories, there are communal bathrooms and common areas. All inmates will be bunking with at least one of their fellow inmates. No inmates will have their own bunk for privacy.
Inmates have a structured life at the Dallas Residential Reentry Management. It is not as structured as some of the federal prisons, but there is still structure to their day, nonetheless.
Inmates who are healthy enough to work, will be assigned a work assignment. Work assignments are a little bit different than the other federal prisons. Inmates can have the opportunity to work outside of the prison walls. The Dallas Residential Reentry Management has many contracts with different organizations throughout the community.
If inmates are not healthy enough to work, they will be required to either enroll in educational courses, drug education, or release preparation classes. While inmates are in the Dallas Residential Reentry Management, it is their job to work on themselves and gain the necessary skills they will need to succeed when they are released.
Inmates will be able to get on the job training, get their GED, and learn any skills that will benefit them when they are no longer in the custody of the prison.
