CI Reeves III is also known as the Reeves III Camp. The facility is operated and managed by the GEO Group. The GEO Group is contracted under the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The CI Reeves III is a low-security federal prison in Texas.
As of 2016, the Justice System stated that they will be phasing out all privately-owned prisons. The private prisons did not have any cost-effective or saved the agency any money along with private prisons were less safe than public prisons.
However, a few months later, there was a ruling that they would allow all contracted prisons to stay open until their contracts expire.

Inmates can receive mail from their family and friends back home. Inmates cannot receive care packages from their family and friends without prior written approval from the inmate’s unit supervisor or another authorized prison staff.
Inmates family members can send their release clothing and authorized medical equipment through the mail without written approval.
Inmates can receive books, magazines, and newspapers. However, books magazines and newspapers will need to be sent directly from the publisher. It cannot be sent from a personal address. All books are required to be paperback. Hardcover books are not permitted.

Do NOT send money to an inmate using the CI Reeves III address. All funds sent through the mail must be addressed to a processing center in Des Moines, Iowa. This applies to all Federal inmates, regardless of where they are incarcerated.

The email program is funded by the inmate trust fund, which is kept up with purchases from the commissary, the telephone service, and fees paid directly to Trulincs.

Inmates can receive visitors. Visitors are required to be put on the approved visitor list before they can see the inmates. Visitors can fill out the form on the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. Once approved, visitors will be able to go to the CI Reeves III during visiting hours to visit.

The visiting starts in first in, first out type of fashion. No new visitors will be allowed in 45 minutes before the end of the visit day. 45 minutes before the end of the visit day officers start escorting those who were first in out of the visitor room.
